How to dye black dreads to bright red?

Use a color stripper/remover. Then bleach it with normal (white person) bleach. It will be orange at this point but don't worry, red dyes well over orange. Then I would suggest a permanent bright red dry, and keep the dye in for longer than the box says, just to ensure good color that will last.
