Loud and Noisy AquaClear 30 Filter?

I have that same filter and it is really quiet. I can only hear the water splashing down from it except for when you first start it up after a water change. Then you need to pour water into the media basket area to fully prime it and it is louder until it is fully primed. Maybe it is having a hard time with that for some reason.
